I’ve gathered together five fantasy-based writing prompts to get your creative juices flowing. I love reading fantasy but I have to admit, it’s a little intimidating to try and write. I think I get caught up in worldbuilding and trying to have an answer for every little thing right when I’m getting started.
So, for this exercise, don’t worry about the rules. Just free-write whatever you want based on one of the prompts below.
If it doesn’t make sense, who cares. You can figure it out later or just leave it as it is. Nobody has to see what you write unless you decide to grow it into something larger.
Leave me a comment and let me know if you found success with one of the prompts. If fantasy isn’t your thing, no worries. Check out one of my other blogs that have general writing prompts.
